Day Four: Still No Tommy

If someone out there does have my big kitty, then you need to know this: he loves to play with the rings off milk jugs. Don't waste your money on expensive cats toys--he won't touch them. Also, he loves to have his chin scratched, runs insanely around the living in the evenings, snores a lot when sleeping, and prefers his own side of the bed. He can also be rather demanding when he wants to be petted.

I placed an ad in the paper in the hopes that someone will call with information. I also contacted the company that monitors his microchip and they ran a search on their end to see if he had been scanned, but not reported. No such luck.

I still can't sleep well from worrying about him. Although we live in the city, there are still wild animals about and I fear a coyote might have gotten him. I really don't want to think about that, else I'll start crying and won't be able to stop. I've been keeping one eye on the cat door in the hopes that he will suddenly pop through, but no such luck--although Max did stick his head in last night. Being the crazy cat lady that I am, I asked if he'd seen Tommy, but no response. I'll take that as a no. I really am insane--talking to a raccoon.

Another bit of insanity--I was standing on the patio yesterday evening looking at the backyard in the hopes of miraculously seeing him and imagining what if he just walked up behind me and meowed? Well, suddenly there really was a loud meow right behind me. It scared the pants off me! But it was just Sam. I had stopped paying attention to him for a minute and he was letting me know.

  1. Okay, you got me to tear up on that one. Many people don't realize that the furry critters we share our homes with aren't just pets, they are family members. I just don't know what I would do if Plato or Aristotle came up missing, especially since my boys are indoor cats. I would drive myself crazy. I don't know of what assistance I can be from afar, but if there's something I can do, let me know.
